N2 - In the Late Bronze Age, the socketed two-eared or blade-looped spearheads made of bronze were widespread throughout Europe and most of Asia. Typologically, culturally and geographically they can be grouped into three series: West-European, Far-Eastern, and North-Eurasian. The latter one is the scope of this paper. By developing new classification and chronological scale for the northern Eurasian spearheads, the authors suggest a hypothesis for the genesis and further development of such weapons. These are thought to be a sort of military tokens or banners with some status meanings. The paper contains a catalog of spearhead finds discovered in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Siberia.
