The paper studies the relationship of man's and woman's psychological well-being and marital status. The study involved 118 people aged 20-40 years who were married, unregistered marriage , single and divorced, living in the city. To solve the problems posed in the study, the method “Riff psychological well-being scale, version of Shevelenkova-Fesenko (2005)” was used. Analysis of variance showed the absence of significant interrelations between the level of psychological well-being, gender and marital status. The highest average indicators of the level of psychological well-being are observed among married people, the lowest - among people living in an unregistered marriage. Men have less intergroup variation in the values of the level of psychological well-being than women have.
