The paper presents an algorithm for processing soil and environmental data collected during field works in 20152017 in the territory of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District using GIS. A brief analysis of Russian and world soil and soil-ecological databases, as well as soil studies that were carried out in the region at different times, was conducted. For more rapid processing of GIS data, errors in initial reports should be eliminated, and the sequence of soil descriptions should be followed. Filling the soil database of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District involves continuing work. All researchers can be included in this program to submit their materials with guaranteed copyright compliance.
