The article analyzes the ideological and stylistic continuity of the journalistic works of F.M. Dostoevsky and A.I. Solzhenitsyn. On the basis of their common ideological constants - anti-rationalism, approval of the religious worldview and Christian anthropological pessimism - both thinkers built socio-political concepts of national conservative type. The ideological close parallels between the reflections of the prophet of post-reform Russia and the philosophical quest of one of the most ambitious writers of Russia after the collapse of the former statehood and the birth of the new one, profoundly demonstrate the patterns of cyclically repeated historical processes.
