The site of Crimean geological field training of St.Petersburg University is situated within the Second ridge of the Crimean Mountains. Chemical characteristics of wet precipitation were measured here from 1999 to 2010 (in summer). All samples were analyzed for major ions (Cl -, HCO 3 -, CO 3 2-, SO 4 2-, NC 3 -, Ca 2+, Na +, K +, Mg 2+) and pH. The predominant ions of precipitation are mostly HCO 3 - (or sometimes SO 4 2-), Ca 2+ and Mg 2+. The average pH value was 7,0 and varied from 5.9 to 8.9. Enrichment factors, sea salt factor, non sea salt factor have been calculated. The saturation indices minerals species in precipitation (SI) were calculated by the PHREEQC program. Chemical composition of rains with minimal anthropogenic influence can be considered as representative of background values for the region. Bibliogr.
