Despite efforts to eliminate tuberculosis infection (TI), both in the Russian Federation and around the world, this disease remains one of the most pressing and significant health problems. Immunodiagnostics is very important in controlling the spread of infection, constantly developing with introduction of new immunological tests. The introduction of tests into clinical practice has significantly increased TI detection in its atypical or latent course in adults and children, as well as in HIV-infected patients. This review presents an analysis of current studies on TI immunodiagnostics, performed both in vivo (Diaskintest) and in vitro (IGRA tests: QuantiFERONTB, TSPOT.TB), as well as comparison of their efficacy, incl. in patients with comorbidities. Improving TI diagnostic possibilities can help increase the quality of patient care and improve epidemic situation in Russia.
