The article is devoted to the analysis of international indexes for assessing the digital maturity of countries
and regions, as well as the national index for assessing the level of development of the digital economy
in the Russian Federation. Due to the existing indexes, it is possible to evaluate not only Russia’s place
in the global digital transformation processes, but also to identify the main problems and drivers of
digitalization within the country, which is the basis for the formation and change of regulatory and institutional
frameworks in the field of development of the digital economy of the Russian Federation.
