The article analyzes the current federal legislation in the field of environmental safety, examines the main aspects of legal regulation and basic concepts. The work contains links to the works of famous Russian scientists who study legal problems of environmental protection. The authors conclude that in the conditions of the environmental crisis, the development of legislation in this area is extremely necessary.
