The article deals with the resolution of the Central Committee of the CPSU (b) "On the teaching of logic and psychology in secondary schools" and the textbook of logic for secondary schools by S.N. Vinogradov and A.F. Kuzmin. The return of formal logic was driven by a political demand to increase the logical culture of the managerial elite. There was a revival of Soviet social thought through the further development of humanitarian education.
