The article examines how the phraseological units (PU) of the Russian and Chinese languages reflect the universal concept «deception» for all languages. PU deception can mean both verbal and non-verbal actions. The structure of the phraseosemantic field allows us to consider the PU of deception as a system of subfields and microfields. Comparison of the phraseosemantic fields of Russian and Chinese reveals their similarity and difference, which testifies to the peculiarity of the linguistic consciousness of these peoples and the peculiarities of fragments of language pictures of the world.
