Among the subjects, defining Spet's philosophical position, hermeneutics stands apart - these problems are believed to be determined by his interest towards issues of methodology of humanitarian knowledge, as well as towards critics of both Kant's and anti-Kant's position on this subject. Nevertheless, because of anthropology, it seems interesting to examine the well-known Spet's corpus of texts on hermeneutics. At first sight an intersection of both philosophical approaches towards this material may seem inappropriate; Spet himself rarely uses term “anthropology”, replacing it with its subordinate - “anthro-pologismus” - sharing a negative connotation and apparently, just once, in late 20-ties used it to entitle his article (“ The Lavrov's anthropologismus in the light of the history of philosophy”), and even there giving more cautious definition: “ the anthropological point of view” in philosophy. But, despite direct allusions to this subject, it is obvious the content's connection of these problems in researched material. Present research is aimed to find out remains of these content's intersection and allusions, as well as to discuss reasons of why they remained unfocussed. Hopefully it will somehow clarify some points of Spet's personal philosophical position, since either interest or its absence towards anthropological problems are believed to be motivated by certain neokantian admissions and by a relevant treatment of historical and philosophical material concerning Kant's philosophy, his both predecessors and followers, supporters and opponents. Is anthropology a kind of extreme of Spet's philosophical concept out of which he intends to move in the opposite direction, or it represents certain “point of view” in philosophy, opposing theoretical abstraction of natural science? All these issues will be discussed in the paper.
