The article considers how the adverb sovsem functions in Russian spoken and written speech, as well as how the stable construction ot slova sovsem and further a series of hashtags are created on its basis. This «transition» can be represented on the dynamic «intensification scale» as follows: sovsem – ot slova sovsem – #otslovasovsem – #otSlovaSovsem – #OtSlovaSovsem – #otslovaSOVSEM – #OTSLOVASOVSEM. Hyperbolization as a feature of modern Russian speech has predicted the appearance of such intensifiers. Basing on the obtained material, the article describes some peculiarities of the usage of the construction and the hashtag (#otslovasovsem) in modern Internet communication on the examples of quotes from personal blogs of Internet users. As an adverb of measure and degree, the adverb sovsem reflects the tendency of the modern Russian language to intensification, i.e., to strengthening, highlighting, evaluating of some information.
