The article surveys the structural peculiarities of the prepositional verbs of two cognate Iberian-Romanic languages. Under review are seven thematic groups analyzed on the base of their subject-objective relations as a fundamental criterion of the investigation of semantic peculiarities of the predicative nucleus of the sentence.
