In the present paper, the author describes the process of mastering an English loanword post, borrowed into Russian language at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries. The development of its derivatives is considered, an approximate chronology of the occurrence of each lexeme in the speech of Russian speakers is given, and the difficulties in choosing the form of derivative verbs in the form of I Sg Present Simple are described, staging of stress in indirect cases of nouns with the root "post" and the problem of an unsteady spelling norm.
