The article presents the analysis of literature and data of our research about relationship between coronary artery disease and age-related androgenic insufficiency in male population. In most researches it was noticed, that the age-related decrease of the level of androgens contributes to the development of coronary heart disease, primally due to deterioration of metabolic parameters. On the other hand, there is a contradictory information about the effects of testosterone therapy on frequency of cardiovascular events. Thus, a cautious approach for testosterone replacement therapy is required.
