The article deals with complex sentences (SPP) of an undifferentiated structure with an object-explanatory subordinate part with the union that in the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language. The theoretical , educational and methodological materials intended for teaching Russian language to foreigners are analyzed. The most common models of complex sentences with the conjunction that in the practice of teaching RFL are described. It is noted that the need to use these models is already required at the initial stage (B1) of Russian language proficiency. The results of the study will allow creating pedagogical tools for teaching the complex sentences of Russian language.
