The author considers the modern active process of influence of Russian written language on informel oral speech. Modern Russian spoken language often uses complex syntactic constructions, terminology, abstract vocabulary, quotations from the texts of books. In some cases, this occurs as a result of inter-discursive interaction, which the speaker does not control, in other cases-as a result of the purposeful construction of the speaker dialog statements in accordance with the rules of writing. Thus, the speaker demonstrates the importance of the content of what he says and raises his status. The analyzed material allows us to conclude that the process of influence of the Russian written language on informal oral speech entails a change in the stylistic status of individual language units. For example, participles, which were traditionally considered specific only to written language, are now common in spoken language.
