The article analyzes some issues of forming the status of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation as a body of judicial constitutional review during the creation of the 1993 Constitution of the Russian Federation. The participation of the court and some of its judges in the process of establishing a new Russian constitutional space is revealed.
