The article is devoted to the theme “N.S. Leskov and France" in which frames the ratio of Leskov can be traced to the city European culture, to the “Paris text” of French literature, to French spiritualism and peculiarities of French political history. It relies on extensive epistolary and literary heritage of the writer.
