The article is devoted to the study of one of the aspects of the image of Peter I the Great from electronic sources on the Vietnamese Internet. The article highlights the main groups of Internet resources (news, educational and travel sites), where the mention of Emperor Peter I is found, and the study also collects and analyzes variants of the not yet established tradition of writing the name of Peter in Vietnamese. In addition, the text analyzes the peculiarities of the linguistic means that are used to form the image of Peter I and identifies the stereotypes that have been replicated about the Russian emperor in Vietnam. The author concludes that the image of Peter I on the Vietnamese Internet, as a rule, has a real historical basis, and this idea duplicates the already established tradition of Vietnamese historiography associated with the assessment of the Russian emperor and his activities.
