The paper discusses the problem of interaction between the authorities and the society in the context of psychology of political communication. Psychological measures of political language are analyzed in the context of the modern world challenges, given the change in the emphasis of scientific research showing a paradigm shift in the psychological science. The criteria of the prospective areas for research of political communication for the different areas of psychology are proposed. The paper also demonstrates the importance of the connection between psychological studies of political language and the solution of a problem in creating a space for effective political communication. Critical analysis of existing theoretical and empirical research on the problem of political communication reveals the need to support the current research by the relevant psychological findings that can be considered as "growing points". Psychological dimension of the language of authority allows uncovering the aspects of the language of political communication, which helps to see the strategic goals and to describe the objectives of the psychology of political communication in order to ensure positive dialogue between the politics and the society in the framework of adequate linguistic discourse.
