The article aims to identify the position of the international community on the constitutional regulation of electoral systems based on an analysis of existing international recommendations. The analysis allows us to judge the degree of recognition by the international community of the institution of constitutionalization of the electoral system. The documents considered are aimed at developing criteria in accordance with which part of the electoral norms should be fixed at the level of constitutions.
