The article contains survey and general breakdown of short, but deep period in developing of special sports press in the context of rev-olutionary convulsions and reforms in 1917. Characteristics of how revolutionary moves were illustrated on the pages of sports press are considered, such as their infl uence on Russian sports movement judged by sports journalists and infl uence of public and political processes on the functioning of the sports journalism sphere system itself is observed.
