The article is devoted to the analysis of the impact of the implementation of youth policy on the development of the region. On the example of St. Petersburg, the most effective methods of attracting young people to the territory of the subject and her involvement in solving important socio-economic and sociopolitical tasks are considered. The importance of constructing the image of the region is substantiated as a promising place for youth migration. It raises the question of the need for youth to interact with state authorities and to involve young people in solving important regional problems.
