The artilce examinates the image of the empire and its transformation in the XX-XXI centuries. The work reveals the image of the empire that has formed in today's world. The author identified the main criteria and attributes of the empire, considering the variety of imperial practices and techniques of power through the prism of radical left and right philosophical discourses.
