In Norwegian, verbs of rotation are represented in an amount of about 28, which is above the average. The list was divided into seven unequal groups according to their semantics. When considering the phonetic composition of the units studied and their etymology, certain phonosemantic regularities were revealed. With a few exceptions, the verbs of the group are included into the sound-symbol system of the language. The previously postulated irrelevance of the environment factor for the semantics of the verbs of rotation is not confirmed. On the contrary, conclusions are confirmed regarding the reflection in the consonant clusters of the verb stems in question, the iconic aspects of the designation of action
