The article examines the composition constituents of the narrative “Julia” (1794) by N. M. Karamzin. The analysis has identified semantic rings arising in the narration due to the presence of the so-called pair motives or themes. The influence of these sematic rings on the concept generation process in Karamzin’s work is also investigated.
