Atypical patterns of branching of the celiac trunk are important for liver transplantation, gastrectomy, duodenal and pancreas resection, endovascular surgery and intraarterial chemoembolization. Knowledge of the anatomical features of the architectonics of the celiac trunk is of practical importance in abdominal surgery.
