In this article, we made an attempt to analyze both historical and modern world experience of transformation of military-industrial sector to the interests of national economy. Authors consider the process of DIC transformation, as a factor influencing structural reorganization of the economy. Calculation of coefficients reflecting structural changes in the economy has allowed to reveal how DIC affects the structure of Russian economy in whole.
