There is a story about Christian relics associated with the crucifixion of Jesus Christ in the Syriac apocrypha «Transitus Mariae». The article reveals the versions of this story, presented in different modifications of this apocrypha. Biblical sources of representations of relics are established, the influence of the Christian legends about the discovery the True cross and the work of «Vita Constantini» Eusebius of Caesarea (IV c.) on the narrator are revealed. The author of the «Tran-situs Mariae» offers a new story of the discovery the True cross and makes an attempt to link his searches with the time of the life of the Virgin Mary. The inclusion in the «Transitus Mariae» of the history of Christian relics reinforces the anti-Jewish theme of the apocrypha and brings it to a qualitatively new level, since the Roman authorities (the Jerusalem hegemon) are now included in the persecution of Jews who do not recognize Christ.
