The paper deals with the problem of individual style of K. G. Paustovsky. As a dominant, defining features of his style, discusses the lyrical tone as a text category and its characteristic, identifies the means of its formation. The analysis is performed on the short stories of K. Paustovsky "Snow", "Rainy dawn", " Cordon "273", "Voronezh summer" and other works of the writer.
