The influence of the hydrophobization process (on the example of organosilicon liquids) on the properties of carbon magnetic sorbents obtained using carbon-containing wastes of industrial enterprises is studied. This sorbents modification method will improve their efficiency in eliminating oil spills by reducing the moisture capacity, and consequently, increase buoyancy.
