abstract = "Dolginsky oil deposit is located on a shelf of the southeast shallow part of the Pechora sea. The hydrobiological research Carried out by VNIIOkeangeologia in 1993,2000 and 2001 have shown that in 1993 macrobenthos on the licence site were under natural conditions and weren't affected by stressful influences. The data of 2000 indicate essential benthic organism sizes diminishing that led to their general biomass decrease. However the tendency to macrobenthos biomass increase and the number decrease was marked in 2001. The causes of these changes can be both natural factors and cyclic biological processes which should be taken into account for the further monitoring. The bottom relief character on the licence site determines moving of sedimentary material and polluting substances connected with it from the Pechoromorsky plain to the closed South Novozemelsky trench. There are no sedimentary traps of deposits and pollutants connected with them within the Pechoromorsky plain. According to our work results, the geoecological situation in the area of the Dolginsky licence site so far gives no reason for concern.",
