The article presents the results of an examination of a late Sabaic fragmentary inscription found by the Dutch journalist and researcher Sarah Rijziger in 2017 in Na‘d - a village in the Highlands of Yemen to the south-east of Sanaa. This inscription was published in 2018. The names of its authors and the mention of God of Israel indicate that it must have been compiled by members of a local Jewish community. The editors of the inscription did not pay due attention to the first occurrence of the anthroponym ‘bd'l-n, which represents the full equivalent of the most common Islamic name ‘Abdallah, and also overlooked the fact that the inscription is most likely to be dated from the late sixties of the 5th century AD. The attempt to deny the complete identity of two expressions attested in late Sabaic inscriptions, viz. “God of Israel” and “Lord ofthe Jews”, and to consider them as a sort of bitheism does not stand up to scrutiny.
