The leasing in Russia has recently become not just one of the modern financial instruments allowing financing investment expenses, but the real possibility of updating fixed assets, attracting investments, and introducing new technologies. The article considers the historical fluctuations of the leasing market, reveals its current state, identifies the main problems of the modern leasing market, suggests possible ways to solve them. Also, this article presents the dynamics of quantitative indicators of the leasing market in Russia. A lot of attention is paid to the planned reform of the leasing market. Planned changes are analyzed, systematized and given in this article. The author also assesses the impact of these changes, the consequences of the adoption of the draft law on leasing reform.
