The article is devoted to contemporary aspects of companies' strategies that increase their sustainability in a negative external environment. Based on organizations indicators analysis in the Russian regions, the interrelation between the financial results of companies and the level of their innovation and digitalization is revealed. This allowed us to conclude about the importance of the digital strategy in achieving companies' sustainability. In addition, other features of strategies that allowed companies to reduce risks and successfully overcome negative trends in the external environment during the period of epidemiological restrictions are identified. In conclusion, the author underlined the impact of digitalization processes of companies on these features of strategies and planned the further research.
