The article is devoted to analysis of the specificity and possibilities of applying the life course approach to the study of the phenomenon of sexuality in all its diversity (sexual orientation, gender dimension, socio-demographic differentiation) and multidimensionality. The paper presents a critical analysis of classical and modern studies of the life path in relation to issues of sex, gender and sexuality. Using the examples of studies carried out over the past decade, heuristic possibilities of using the categorical apparatus of the life course approach to study and understand the erotic and emotional interactions between people are demonstrated, the set of key scientific issued within the framework of the concept is highlighted. The article focuses on the conceptual and methodological problems of the approach.
