This article is a continuation of the author's studies of the foreign policy of Uruguay. The publication examines the activities of the Government of Uruguay in the development of South-South cooperation. Analyzing state documents, media, programs of political parties, analytical reports, the author shows the role of South-South cooperation in the regional and international directions of the foreign policy of Montevideo. Author makes conclusion that despite the constant appeal of the country's politicians to the rhetoric of South-South cooperation, in reality the existing mechanisms and programs of cooperation development in the country are similar to the mechanisms and programs of other countries, and the projects presented as the outcome of the South-South cooperation program are the result of the development of classical bilateral relations.
