The article deals with some problems of criminal policy and the application of criminal legislation on crimes against the person. The analysis has been made of law enforcement practice for criminal cases including crimes against the person showing the main problems of qualification of such crimes. Proposals have been developed to improve the application of criminal law as far as liability for crimes against the person is concerned
