The problem of glorification of terrorism in Russian and foreign network media is considered, it is shown how new technologies change the image of the terrorist, and multimedia capabilities allow to create texts recruiting new supporters. The terrorist act becomes not only an act of a violent nature aimed at destruction and death, but also a message received by the whole society. Terrorist attack in reflection of mass media performs functions of demoralization and intimidation.
