The study aims to determine the features of trade dynamics and structure between the EEU and the Republic of Korea before and after the formation of the union in the light of the discussion on the FTA creation. An analysis of the dynamics of bilateral trade shows that the Republic of Korea is one of the ten most significant partners of the EEU (7th place, share — 3.3% in 2017). Russia accounts for 92% of the trade (2017). The union has trade surplus with South Korea. Mineral products dominate in the EEU's export to South Korea, while its imports from Korea mostly comprise motor vehicles and machinery. The trade intensity index was calculated for both the EAEU as a whole, and for each participating country.
