The article observes the reconstruction of historical and cultural context of the forming of the Tang Empire (618-907) founders’ familial legend as is it presented in the research literature. The article divides this reconstruction on the five components and examine their content which include ideological and historical origins each of them which are also had been analyzed in the research literature. The specific theme of article is the imperial worship of Lao-zi fixed even before the Tang Empire founding. Article also examine the important issue which applied to the reconstruction of historical and cultural context of forming of the of Li family familial legend: the possible of the transit from the historical sources’ done about the upcoming ruler who would bear the Li surname to the family legend itself and about coordination of the prophecies and the genealogical visions’ influences.
