In 2021 is celebrated the centenary of the birth of the Polish poet, novelist and playwright Tadeusz Różewicz (1921-2014), the creator of a new type of lyrics, whose work has been known in our country since the 50s of the XX century. The purpose of the article is to present to the reader the creative heritage of the patriarch of Polish literature. Among the tasks: to summarize information about Russian-language editions of the works of Różewicz, about translators and researchers of his work. The analysis of publications shows that the works of the Polish author were translated by the best Soviet and Russian translators, among whom were M. Pavlova, D. Samoilov, Y. Moritz, B. Slutsky, M. Zhivov, V. Britanishsky, A. Eppel, I. Adelgeim, K. Staroselskaya, O. Davtyan, A. Bazilevsky, A. Nekhay.In his philosophical works, Różewicz wrote about his traumatic experience of the war years, about the absurdity of war, about the crisis of modern civilization, about the problems and conflicts of the modern world. These topics are close to readers of different generations, therefore the work of Różewicz remains relevant today, new generations of readers and translators turn to him.
