The aim of the study was to examine the correlation between parental attitudes and psychological well-being of men and
women. Our sample consisted of 40 men and 38 women, bringing up teenager children. Methods: Parental Attitude Research
In¬strument (Mother’s and Father’s PARI), Scale of Psychological well-being (Ryff). Data processing methods: comparative
analysis, correlation analysis. The research revealed that women with greater psychological well-being were inclined to establish
friendly relations with their teen-aged children. They do not tend to demonstrate their power and dominance over the teenager.
The higher the level of psychological well-being in men, the more they take on responsibility with regard to the education of the
teenager. They promote self-assertion of the teenager, stimulating his/her ‘sense of maturity’.
