In the article of O.A.Gorodov, Doctor of Law, Prof. of the St. Petersburg State University (St. Petersburg, gorodovoleg@gmail.com) the problem of determining the place of the set of legal norms regulating relations in the field of digital technologies in the system of Russian law is considered. The number of such norms is constantly increasing, since there is an objective need for legal influence on public relations arising in the digital environment, including with regard to the results of intellectual activity. Such a necessity naturally gives rise to a mechanism of such influence, which is called digital law in a broad sense.
