In the Russian Federation, the closest connection between Church and state is most visible throughout the entire period of Russian history. Before the October revolution of 1917, the Russian Orthodox Church (hereinafter referred to as the ROC) played an important role in determining state policy and participated in public authorities. Many researchers and scientists still cannot answer questions related to the study of the influence of the Orthodox Church on public power in the Russian Empire. This issue is addressed by representatives of several Sciences at once. And each of them considers this problem from their own point of view.
