The concept of cognitive reserve belongs to the paradigm of successful aging. According to existing data, higher level of cognitive reserve prevents or softens the occurrence of clinical manifestations of neurodegenerative diseases. The aim of research is the study the correlations between parameters of cognitive reserve and psychological characteristics. First hypothesis is: a number of parameters of the original questionnaire will not determine the level of cognitive reserve on the Russian sample. Second hypothesis is: there are some correlations between parameters of cognitive reserve and psychological characteristics. The study involved 57 individuals with age range of 52–77 (Mean 63). Multiple regression analyses showed that not all parameters contribute to the scales. However, a number of specific characteristics of a Russian sample should be taken into account in future studies. Moreover, results of the study shown correlations between parameters of cognitive reserve and psychological characteristics: parameters of psychological well-being, coping strategies, quality of life.
