A new look at the system of narrators in “The Captain’s Daughter” by A. Pushkin is proposed in the article. If Petr Grinev was traditionally considered as an objective narrator, an attempt to correct this approach and consider the “binary” system of narrators, including the narrator and the publisher, whose points of view differ and do not always coincide, is made.
