The idea of the world cinema's appeal to the elements of the Italian Renaissance costume, understood as an iconic system, makes it possible not only to present this socio-cultural phenomenon on the screen to the modern viewer, but also to identify a number of patterns necessary to distinguish typical characters of the era.
