This article examines the difficulties faced by the Chinese stock market at the current stage of its development. The authors identify the most significant of these problems - and consider the reasons that cause these problems. According to the authors, the main ones are related to shortcomings in the organization of capital allocation, the system of incentives for corporate managers and the imprudent policies of a number of companies.
